Zhuzhy British Shorthairs
I have only been breeding British Shorthaired for about 10 years, which makes me a novice compared to most people, that are involved in this hobby. I specialise in brown, blue and tortie spotted and tabbies. The blue spotted are still relatively unknown to the general public but are, I think, much prettier than their blue cousins. The brown spotted has also lost favour seen as a "moggie" colour, but when you see a pedigree brown spotted or tabby British shorthaired then the difference is clear. I have had people come to visit a blue spottie kitten, only to buy a brown spottie instead. The temperament of all these cats are pretty laid back and friendly. They are good in a family environment and seem to "get on" with both dogs and other breeds, if the introductions are handled correctly. There is always going to be hissing and spitting on first sight, remember you do not strike up instant friendships when you first meet someone new.
Give them a few weeks and most give you the impression that they have lived with you for ever, others do take a little longer but time and patience are rewarded.
